The Constricted Macoma is a rare shell on S. Hutchinson Island.

Shell size to 2.5"; shell moderately inflated, posterior end bent to right, not elongate as Macoploma tenta. Sculpture of fine, irregular, concentric growth lines. Periostracum thin, brown. Color white.
